Project Description:
The CDRH Office Building is at the FDA’s Silver Spring campus. The six-story, concrete-framed project is built to progressive collapse specifications. Its exterior is made of brick, cast stone and curtain wall. Steel pedestrian bridges on the second and third floors link the building to adjacent laboratory facilities. Besides office areas, the interior features a 150-person conference center and high-density storage space. The building’s centerpiece is a grand, six-story atrium that runs the length of the building, with clerestory windows above providing abundant daylight.
